Happy Anniversary, Honey— Pass me a Hammer?
Today, I spoke with Dana Fink, a woman from Clayton, NC, who, along with her husband, David, decided to spend her six-year wedding anniversary volunteering with this build. She says that after years of praying and saving, she and David were finally able to buy their “dream home” for their blended family of six. She told me that after that great blessing, they wanted to spend their anniversary week— a time when they normally vacation at the beach— helping others. Their anniversary day was on Sunday, and Dana says she and David were so tired that they didn’t get a chance to go to a romantic dinner. She told me they knew they could go out to eat any time, but something like this, though, comes once-in-a-lifetime.
