On the Saturday after “Move that Bus” day, Diana Ryan and Lucille Rogers of Edenton presented Aaron and Windy Cooper with a quilted wall hanging (called “A Community Joins Together”) they had designed and created for the new Cooper Home. The 12 blocks of the quilt represent different facets of Eastern North Carolina life— houses of different styles, a school, a church, a barn, a lighthouse, and Jamestown’s famous Cypress Grill.
